Water element in an illustrated story for preschool children.

The bachelor thesis focuses on exploring the significance of water in early child-hood education and its potential for developing children's perception and un-derstanding. The aim is to introduce children to the importance of water and its role in our lives through an original storybook about a water droplet and to veri-fy this book in practice. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focuses on the importance of water from an ecological perspective, its connection to cultures and art, and the incorporation of the water theme into the Frame-work Educational Program for Preschool Age. Furthermore, the thesis examines selected literary works for children that address the theme of water. The practical part of the thesis includes a description of the author's book and proposed edu-cational activities associated with it, aimed at expanding children's knowledge about water and developing their aesthetic perception of this elemental compo-nent. The thesis is focused on linking theory with practical outputs and explores the effectiveness of educational methods in the area of perceiving and un-derstanding water in the educational process of preschool children.
Possibilities of integrating kinesthetic teaching methods into the plan of education and care in children's group

The diploma thesis is focused on the significance of use of kinesthetic teaching methods in the annual plan of education and care in children's group. The theoretical part is devoted to basic terminology, the definition of key concepts, such as health and its support in preschool education, and the characteristics of children's groups as a specific form of pre- primary education. The following chapters introduce the age-specific features of preschool age with focus on motor skills. This part closes with a chapter dedicated to the curriculum of children's groups, presenting documents that can be used in the creation of a formal curriculum, the characteristics of kinesthetic teaching methods and the importance of movement with positive development of a child. The chapter dealing with movement and defining the concept of kinesthetics is crucial to the entire thesis. Intercultural differences in management in childcare facilities

The thesis focuses on the analysis of the management of selected organizations providing care for young children in terms of intercultural differences in the management style and principles of their managers from the majority society. The analysis is based primarily on the work of Geert Hofstede and Robert House, who revealed the sociological phenomenon of cultural dimensions. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to an analysis of the current legislative framework for the provision of early childhood education in Czech Republic and the position and role of the school or non-profit organization director as a manager. Special attention is paid to the concept of intercultural management as a specific area of people management and the basic theories of cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede and Robert House are discussed, including the framing of the whole situation in the context of the Czech social and cultural environment. Herb garden and its connection with environmental education in kindergarten

The subject of the bachelor's thesis on the topic of "The herb garden and linking it to environmental upbringing at nursery school" is the introduction and definition of individual terms associated with environmental upbringing necessary for the draft and creation of a project on this topic and its actual realisation. The theory section of the thesis also presents an overview of legislation in the area of environmental upbringing and education introducing possible types of herb gardens, individual specifics of the cultivation of medicinal plants, their effects and safe use from the point of view of pre-school education. The practical section of the thesis consists of the stage of preparation, realisation and evaluation of the education programe. The stage of the preparation and realisation of the project contains activities associated with topics aimed at specific types of herbs in nursery school. The final practical area is the stage of evaluation rating the level of success of the actual practical teaching and suggestions for its improvement.
Educational contribution of poetry in early childhood education

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore and define possible personal criteria of a teacher when choosing poetry as an educational tool targeting the pre-school children in the reality of preschool institutional education, as well as to elicit the variety of possibilities of the practical usage of the poetry in this field. The theoretical part defines poetry in the context of literature and its application when working with children, regarding their pre-school age reception specifics. The practical part lists some individual demonstrations of children poetry while using my own poetical work resources. Those are analysed with regard of the Czech Educational Framework Programme for pre-school education as the part of teacher's preparation for practical application - the formation of educational offer within the Class educational plan with the intention to achieve the CEFP aims on the regional level.
Craft in Pre-school Education

The diploma thesis on the topic Role of crafts in pre-primary education is focused mainly on the examination of two approaches to handcraft activities in kindergartens - polytechnic education and the craft concept of working with materials. The aim od the theoretical part is to present the role of craft activities in pre-primary education through individual chapters that are related to research. The craft concept of working with material is described here as a holistic craft process that is neither strictly technological nor purely artistic, and we should therefore perceive it as an area in which these fields intertwine. The practical part is focused on the research itself. It presents the aims of the thesis, research questions and research methods. The thesis has two main goals: to analyze the examined documents and find in them the differences in the values represented by them and the goals of the given approaches; implement a project in a kindergarten, which will be further described and reflected on by the method of reflective practice. Support of the beginning directors of kindergartens from 1990 to present

This diploma thesis provides information on the subject of supporting beginning kindergarten headmasters. It deals with the changes of this support from 1990 until the present. The objective of this diploma thesis is to find out the opinions of the headmasters of pre-primary education schools in Prague concerning the support provided by the state, school authority, middle management, the previous headmaster, other colleagues and educational institutions upon taking up their the post. The theoretical part introduces the basic terms connected with the headmaster's managerial functions and competences as well as with the historical development of the kindergarten headmaster's function in relation to the support received upon taking up their post. It points out the necessity of external support of headmasters during their career, especially in its beginning. The empirical part of the thesis is based on studying specialised literature and on survey results. It assesses the headmasters' experience at the beginning of their careers as headmasters. Recruitment and selection of pedagogical employees in kindergarten

The diploma thesis deals with the personnel management practices of recruitment and selection of employees. The theoretical part provides a brief description of the development of human resources management and an outline of the constituent personnel management practices. The steps undertaken by an organisation in the process of recruitment of employees are described thoroughly, from identifying job openings till designing and publishing a job advertisement. The main methods of employee selection are mentioned, followed by a more detailed description of the selection interview. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the field of pre-primary education. It examines the current circumstances of recruitment and selection of pedagogical employees in selected kindergartens in Prague. It investigates which methods and techniques are used in these personnel management practices and it scrutinizes the factors that influence them. The results of the inquiry show that the recruitment and selection of pedagogues are executed on an adequate level in the selected schools. Accessibility of pre-primary education in the Czech Republic

The aim of this study is to analyze and evaluate care services for preschool children in the Czech Republic from the perspective of a demographer. The first part is concerned with theory relating to this issue. This development of preschool education in this country with an emphasis on the period after 1990 . In the next section participation in preschool education in the districts of the Czech Republic is analyzed. As a part of analysis an international comparison is also made with selected European Union countries. A survey was carried about using a questionnaire, the results of which became an importance source helping to describe and, in some cases, illustrate the current situation in and around Prague. The final part outlines the possible future development in the numbers of children and the resulting interest in preschool care. To address the problems related to the return of women to the workplace (labor market) after maternity leave, the number of children are estimated and grouped according to the levels of education of the women.
Implementation of the Learning Stories Method in a Czech Nursery School

The diploma thesis focuses on the Learning Stories method and its implementation in a Czech pre-school. Its aim is to explore, document, and analyse how the Learning Stories method is applied into a Czech pre-school as a part of the process of formative assessment. The theoretical part defines assessment in the pre-primary education - its content, and characteristics. Selected assessment tools used in a Czech pre-primary education are introduced. The theoretical part then focuses on the definition of the formative assessment in both Czech and foreign literature, and on the analysis of the Czech Statutory Pre-primary Educational Framework in the relation to the formative assessment. It also describes theoretical background of the Learning Stories method and its use within the international pre-primary education. Research data were acquired from a content analysis of learning stories and from semi- structured interviews with teachers who have been working with the LS method.
